Day 1: Arrival-Yangon – Golden Rock

Upon arrival to Yangon International Airport, our tour guide will welcome and bring the guests to the private air-con coach to proceed to Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda (Golden Rock).

Upon arriving to the base camp of the pagoda, proceed to go up the top of the mountain with the local open top truck(45 Minutes Approx) where you will be dropped off at the pagoda to travel the final distance by walk. There, after worship at the pagoda, you can enjoy the surrounding nature of Kyiakhtiyo Mountain, visit local souvenir shops of local food, clothing, handy crafts, herbal shops, religious material shops and so on.   .

There are only a few hotels at the top of Mount Kyaiktiyo, so upon the availability of the hotel at many people stay in the ‘base camp’ village of Kinpun, where good accommodations available, and also have a lively atmosphere and a good range of places to eat.  If you are staying in Kinpun, it makes most sense to arrive in the late afternoon or evening, and then ascend the mountain the following morning.
