Day 1: Arrival-Yangon

Upon arrival to Yangon International Airport, our tour guide will welcome and bring the guests to the private air-con coach to visit to the Kabaraye Pagoda & Cave, which is significant for the Sixth World Buddhist Synod which was held in its large precinct in 1954.  The compound of the Kabaraye Pagoda is a large one consisting of many monasteries and the stairways to the pagoda are full of vendors on both sides selling many hand made products.  Then, visit the Yangon downtown area to explore the city centre and its wonderful mix of architecture and sites.  You will be able to observe the historical buildings, most of which have a colonial charm which is rare to see in Asia.  Later on, visit to Botataung Pagoda, a famous landmark on Yangon’s waterfront where one can see Buddha’s hair relic and Botataung Jetty to see Yangon river view and explore the daily lives of people around the jetty. Then Proceed to shwedagon Pagoda , one of the world’s most spectacular religious monuments , covered with 90 tons of gold.

Day 2 : YGN – Bago - YGN

After breakfast at the hotel, leave Yangon and enjoy a scenic journey by road to Bago, 80km to the north west of Yangon.  Bago is an ancient capital of a former Mon kingdom dating back to the 6th century. Sightseeing in Bago includes the beautiful 55-meter long reclining Buddha, Shwethalyaung, and the Mon style Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of the most venerated in Myanmar. Its spire stands 114m high and is taller even than the Shwedagon Pagoda.  Also visit the well-restored former palace Kambozathadi. End the tour of Bago with a walk around the colourful Bago Market. On the way back to Yangon, visit the Allied War Cemetery near Htaukkyan, the final resting place for over 27,000 allied soldiers.

Day 3 : Yangon - Departure

After breakfast at the hotel

Visit to Bogyoke Market (Formerly Scott’s Market), a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic “Shan Bag” velvet slippers, lacquer ware, Gems shops and all sorts of handicraft. *It is closed on Monday.

After that, we will proceed to Yangon international airport for your departure flight.
